On Monday April 1st, Dale, husband of Melissa (Wilde) and father of five young children, left home that day to go to the urgent care at St. Francis hospital, for what he thought was a sinus infection. After several hours of testing Dale was admitted to the hospital. On April 8th, the 42 year father, underwent surgery, which revealed an aggressive form of brain cancer. The doctors removed the tumor and started Dale on radiation and chemotherapy. After only 6 weeks, a CT scan revealed the tumor had reoccurred. On June 3rd, Dale underwent another invasive surgery to remove the newest tumor. He is currently on a strict regimen of radiation, chemotherapy, and physical therapy. Dale is a machinist at The Oilgear Co. and has worked six days a week, 10 hours a day for the last 18 years. Dale’s income is the sole support for the family of seven, and his recent inability to work has caused an extreme financial hardship to his household.
