On Monday August 4 2014, Deputy Assistant Secretary of State for the Bureau of International Narcotics and Law Enforcement Affairs, Luis E. Arreaga arrived in Belize for a tour of the country. Mr. Arreaga visited students enrolled in the Community Policing Gang Resistance Education and Training Program (G.R.E.A.T.) at the St. John Vianney School in Belize City. The two week program consists of anti-gang classroom instruction, athletics, art projects, and two field trips. Mr. Arreaga toured three classrooms involving 66 kids , interacting with students and instructors. He expressed great optimism about the educational appeal and vitality of the G.R.E.A.T program.
