On Monday November 3, 2014 at 8:42 PM, Corpus Christi Police Officer Cristhian Salazar was dispatched to the Dennys Restaurant located at 3929 Highway 77 for a fire in the kitchen. Once he made sure the restaurant was evacuated, the officer was able to quickly retrieved the fire extinguisher in his police unit. He then made his way to the kitchen area, and put out the flames. The camera on the officers body recorded the incident. The quick action by the officer helped save any further damage to the business.
