On My Fathers Retirement Today. Please join the Liams family as we celebrate thirty five (35) years of selfless service to humanity. My father James Ahamber Liam today retires from the service of the Nigerian Police Force, he enroled in in 1st July,1979. He retired as an Assistant Superinrendent (2 **). He joined the force as a standard six graduate but he is as articulate and intelligent as a graduate. He speaks impeccable English and has a refined writing prowess that i am envious of till this day. It was from him that I learnt the values of discipline and hardwork. He is a voracious reader and one of his most loved book is African Night Entertainment by Cyprian Ekwensi. He is a very disciplined man who is intolerant to laziness and bad characters. He loves us to a fault, though as children we often mistook his affection for rebuke and despise him. But were it not for him, i would not have attained the heights i have attained in life today. He was the fuel that led me to the discovery of myself and I am thankful to him for that love. Especially that I am better of today because of those teachings he taught us his children I have a very great reason to be happy today, particularly, I thank God for keeping him alive and protecting him throughout the period of his service to the nation as a police officer. This is just an intro to a more comprehensive article I shall write on him soon. Pls join us in thanking God for the life our father. May God guide and bring many fortunes and long life.
