On Nov.15, 2013, the U.S. EPA released the proposed Renewable Volume Obligations (RVOs) under the Renewable Fuels Standard (RFS) for 2014. These volumes represent the amount of renewable fuel that must be blended into the nation’s transportation fuel supply. These proposals have the effect of reducing the total amount of grain-based ethanol that can be used to meet the standards from 14.4 billion gallons to 13.01 billion gallons. This is also a reduction from last year’s total of 13.8 billion gallons for grain-based ethanol. Ethanol accounts for some 400,000 American jobs, saves consumers money at the pump and reduces our dangerous dependence on foreign oil and increases our military commitments defending those countries. A drastic cut such as that proposed here will have a devastating impact on agriculture, our rural economies and the price you will pay at the pump. We at Patriot Holdings have start a petition to President Obama to stop this proposal. Please join us and copy this URL to you browser https://petitions.whitehouse.gov/petition/keep-biofuels-momentum-going-forward-overrule-epas-2014-proposed-renewable-fuel-standard-biofuel/hVrGLYDc and sign the petition. Also tell you family, friends and neighbors to just us, the American Farmer, our rural communities, the ethanol producers and supporters, and all the men and woman serving in our military.
