On Nov. 8, 2014, the Filipino nation will commemorate the first anniversary of typhoon Yolanda that has ravaged the country’s Central Visayas region. Thus, CBCP president Archbishop Socates Villegas declares Nov. 8 this year as a National Day of Prayer, especially for the victims and survivors of the typhoon, Despite the unthinkable misery that the Haiyan caused The Filipino spirit is admirable. After the typhoon helping hands from different countries came to the towns affected ,and the focus now is on moving forward. This one-year commemoration is a time to honor those who perished during the typhoon. Looking forward, it is likewise the best time to remember the lessons we have learned.
