On November 1st Interfaith Peace-Builders 2014 African Heritage Delegation to Israel and Palestine visited the West Bank Village of Bilin. For over a decade Bilin has been the site of weekly demonstrations against the illegal expropriation of village lands for an Israeli settlement, made famous by the Oscar-nominated documentary 5 Broken Cameras. As Palestinian activist Iyad Burnat led the delegation on a tour of the wall separating Bilin from village lands appropriated into the settlement of Modiin Illit, Israeli forces tear gassed the group without warning. The tour stayed on the village side of the wall, and no demonstrations were taking place at the time
