On November 30th, 2014 - Thanksgiving Sunday, friends, families and Bay Area community members united for a memorial tribute, celebrating those lost in years past, by honoring their spirit with a glowing message to the sky. I provided over 200 sky lanterns for participants to write a message to their lost loved ones, before sending them airborne from along the waters edge at Fort Point Pier. The event was hosted below the scenery of the Golden Gate Bridge, out on the water between San Franciscos Downtown Skyline and the Bay Bridge. If we could have a lifetime wish A dream that would come true, We would pray for you with all our hearts For a yesterday and you. A thousand words can’t bring you back, We know, because we tried; And neither will a million tears, We know, because we cried. You left behind our broken hearts And happy memories too. But we never wanted memories, We only wanted you.
