On November 6th 2003 my mom (Joe Wright) and my step dad Joe finally got married! There were about 15 of us watching. With blessings from my mom, whispered in his ear, he took his last breath and joined his dad and sister in heaven. They were married for five minutes. At his funeral this lady came up to me. Apparently a long time friend of Joe. She said You know Joe always said if it was the last thing he was gonna do...he would marry your mom... And I quess he kept his word. It was the last thing he did on this earth. The outfit my mom was supposed to wear for her wedding she ended up wearing at his burial. Joe was diagnosed with lung cancer that went to his brain. They gave him 6 months to a year to live. He went strong for a year and a half. He clung to life until he knew it was ok to go. Theres not a day that goes by that I dont think about him. We had a messed up complicated relationship. But I always loved him at the end of the day. So happy anniversary to my mom and Joe. And happy angleversary to Joe. Live life. Love life. Cherish every moment. In the blink of an eye....everything changes...
