On Oct 20, 1967 Neshoba County Sheriff Lawrence Rainey was acquitted of the murder of civil rights workers Cheney, Schwerner and Goodman. His smug confidence and lack of respect for the proceedings shows in the picture of him. I can see the same smugness in Darren Wilson. He knew all along he would be protected. Somethings never change. And, no one with a sense of historical arc should be surprised.
