On Oct 26th, Consul General Yuan Nansheng was invited to attend the ceremony in commemorating the 150th #anniversary of workers contribution to the construction of the 1st transcontinental railroad. In his remarks, Consul General Yuan praised the Chinese workers hard-working spirit and the excellent job they have done in those difficult times. The work of constructing the transcontinental railway by Chinese workers is very meaningful, Consul General Yuan said, Chinese workers were pioneers of Chinese Americans, and they built the bases of Chinese Americans living and development, and promoted the social and economic exchanges between East and West coast in US. Chinese workers have made great contributions to the exchanges and cooperations between #China and #US, while China and US are working together building another new railway now, I believe the two countries will have an even brighter future with mutual respect and cooperations.
