On October 21 I was diagnosed with uterine cancer. On November 5, I had a hysterectomy to remove it. Today I met with my doctor at MD Anderson to review my pathology report. It was stage 1, grade 1 and now its all gone!!! Im officially CANCER FREE! This is my first Facebook post about it so I may get emotional! Im overcome with gratitude to all of my friends and family that have prayed for me and encouraged me through this difficult time. God is so good! Im overwhelmed by His goodness and faithfulness and how He has guided and provided through this journey. It all happened so fast , yet at the same time it feels like the process took forever! There are so many people to thank for their prayers, words of encouragement, get well cards, flowers, meals and other kind thoughts and gestures. If you are one of these people please know that no matter how big or small your kindness was, it mattered and ministered to me and to my family. Speaking of family, I am awed at the strength that they have shown. I love you Holly Barclay , Preston Barclay and Hollis Barclay !! Thank you for being so strong and encouraging. Hollis, I also appreciate all of the extra effort that you have had to put in, to help us get through this. I dont take for granted all of the stress that this has put on you. Thank you for managing it and steering our family through it. I also appreciate all of the little things, like when you wait on me hand and foot, and when you help with putting my socks on! I am blessed. I am grateful! Thank you dear God, I love you.
