On October 26, 2009, at 8-something in the morning, my doctor came into my room with a smile on his face. Her heart rate is dropping, Im going to do an emergency c-section now. I saw that he was trying to remain positive, but I could see the panic on his face. It was happening again. This time, she was going to be a preemie, and would face a million more challenges. During the surgery, I heard the same words, Cord around the neck, and I lost it. I cried, I screamed, thank God I was restrained because I tried jumping up. She was pulled out......and there was silence. The doctor kept saying Shes fine, I continued to scream Thats what you said the last time!! My world was collapsing, I thought I was going to lose another child.... until the doctor said No, shes really fine, shes staring at me. Shes more stubborn than you are, this kid wont cry! Finally, she started screaming....and screaming.... and screaming. Through the storm, a beautiful rainbow appeared. She looked just like her big sister that was watching over her from above, except with dark hair rather than reddish. She was 5 pounds, 4 ounces, with lungs like a champ. God gave me a miracle, my 32 week baby would not spend one minute in the NICU. Happy 4th Birthday, my rainbow baby, my beautiful princess, my baby buggie, my Piggers, my gift from God, my miracle, my second chance..... You light up the world with your big brown eyes, your crazy curls, your amazing intelligence, your curiosity, your love of the dance, your ability to bust into song. You melt my heart with every single I love you, Mommy. Your hugs cure everything, you are my light, my world, and my miracle. I love you forever and always, to the moon and back. Happy Birthday, Olivia Grace. You are absolutely amazing.
