On October 2nd I was diagnosed with stage 2 breast cancer. Since that date I have learned how precious is the kindness of dear friends, family and even strangers. Ive learned how tightly one holds to every word that comes from the doctors lips. I discovered just how deep is the love of a committed spouse. I experienced profound gratitude for kind treatment from nurses, housekeepers, secretaries, dietary aids, phlebotomists, technicians, and other hospital workers. Finally, I believe that Romans 8:35-39 should include cancer in the litany of lifes tragedies that cannot separate us from Gods love.
