On Pastor Chris Oyakilomes Divorce. - Ak. Kingsley Ok now, this is very interesting, significant and thrilling. Well, I dont understand why the kind of news I hear lately, gets me laughing out loud. Ironical, very ironical headlines fill the air. Something like: Ribadu wins Adamawa PDP primaries, Anita Oyakilome accuses husband of cheating, files divorce... hmmm, I hope I wont hear Jonathan decamps to APC. Alright, now pastor Chris. Let me begin by forbiding anybody that would hurl stones at either Chris or Anita for being necessarily humane. Remember, marital status has nothing to do with heaven, even hell. Cable News says that Anita says Chris has gone extra marital, among other offences. Same Cable reports that Chris says Anita is officially insubordinate as the Vice President of Love World Inc., with him as President, among others. Now, whether the fish swallowed Jonah, or Jonah swallowed the fish, swallow na swallow. Whereas I chose not to condemn, but pray for them to overcome this Olympic Marathon that satan just engaged them in. My little more concern is in that part of the story that should the divorce stand, the London court will state the terms of sharing the wealth of the corporation (Love World Inc.). Hah! Sharing? In diplomacy we say, where any interest is not in the interest of the national interest, such interest must be [made to] subdue to the national interest. Kpam! Religiously, the main business of the church is divine, therefore it is Gods business. My fear: Would the sharing of wealth not include [or mean] the sharing of Christ Embassy church and/or her properties? Does it not imply that Love World Inc. is a family business? Besides the fact that Paul says, To have lawsuits at all with one another is a defeat... [I Cor. 6:7], there is an impression that Chris and Anita should guard against. To think that the properties which many believed were Gods, could be shared and owned by mortals for personal interest sake, is dreadful. Methink the wealth of Love World Inc. is like atom, indivisible, but big. Hence, unsharable among mortal. In a number of cases, some persons either donate land or build for church use. Where such persons are aggrieved with the church and moves to reclaim what they freely donated, hmmm, the consequence is often not pleasant. They say, our God is a God of jealousy. Meanwhile, this should go to other couples who own churches. No interest or problem should be allowed to tamper with Gods interest. To the followers, God first before Papa and Mama, so you dont get to scatter when Papa and Mama have issues. And please... Let us not touch Gods annointed with our tongues because I know mouths will talk. Heaven and hell are both very close, we are free to pick either of them. ~Yak emem aba~
