On Rosh Hashana it is written... May all those who are dear to us in several or even just a small way - be inscribed in G-ds Book of Life in the coming few days. Wishing those who celebrate or are at least culturally Jewish - a good, sweet, happy, meaningful as well as hopefully peaceful Jewish New Year! Since it is a time of saying sorry and giving thought to ones actions, what they wish to change and how they might need to grow - it is something that has been on my mind and as photo (by Lilly K. Photography) portrays bellow - on my pre-schoolers mind as well. We sure hope - we arent the only ones with pondering such thoughts at this time of year, but we look to Hashem for any changes in the direction he choses to direct us next! Last year was both a good and a challenging one, sad and happy... Those emotions dont often mix well - but we made to to another New Year - and we feel thankful!!! Especially Adam... As I began in recent days mention that it is a Jewish New Year and we would be attending dinner by some of mommies religious friends within the Jewish community - after school today he decided to sing a song of his excitement that Deda Moroz was coming with gifts... Well - I guess once Passover arrives he will be the young child who need to learn by getting his questions answered...:)! I hope one day Jewish Day School Education will become accessible to him at the comfort level of his mother and his grandparents... I understand he is quite integrated into todays society and glad he is so well adjusted, I just wish for him to know his roots and background from early age - since it was something my own birth place and homeland stole from my own childhood - which was also full of anti-Semitic experiences... So... This has been the young Khaykin household update in honor of Rosh Hashana onset. May G-d forgive me and my child for anything we may have done against his will against someone else... May you forgive us as well... At my dear sons age, of course, his sins are minimal and innocence is great!!! I am just following what is customary just in case - as his life - really matters to mine and those to whose days he continues to add smiles, warmth & laughter:). Shana Tovah from My Mini Music Man & I!!! Sincerely, ~ The two of us:)) + the rest of us:))
