On Sat 31 Jan 15 at 5:30pm, after the conclusion of our 1st day - TopicsExpress

On Sat 31 Jan 15 at 5:30pm, after the conclusion of our 1st day open for parachuting at the Peterlee DZ this year, David Knox & Oli Saddler will be giving a presentation on their experience of training & competing in Formation Skydiving at Rookie Level - where as Satori Crimson they placed 10th out of 21 Teams at the 2014 National Championships. They plan to train and compete again in 2015 as Hyperion, part of which will involve monthly weekend coaching with John McIver of Satori, generally preceded by tunnel coaching on a Friday evening. This presentation should provide a great incite into what is involved in forming and training as a Formation Skydiving Team; the time, routine, commitment & finance required. Whilst the presentation is aimed at, and targets, those who already have FS1 those parachutists yet to attain FS1 are welcome to attend. There will hopefully be opportunity for other jumpers to train alongside Hyperion and perhaps form a team of their own - this can have great benefits such as access to high level coaching, shared costs, shared resources (i.e. wind tunnel time and transport) as well as shared knowledge & experience. We are also prepared to subsidise and support such a team should one form at Peterlee where we have produced National, Regional and European Skydiving League Champions in the past. Hyperion begin their training with John McIver on Sat 28 Feb 15 and it would be great to see others alongside them. David & Oli will be open to questions at the end of their presentation as well as being open to informal approaches in the Aero Sports Club Bar therafter. vimeo/107688207
