On Saturday 26th April 2014 the Waltham Forest, Antigua & Barbuda and Dominica Twinning Association marked 15 years since their Twinning Charter was signed within the grand setting of Waltham Forest Town Hall’s Council Chamber. The occasion was made particularly special because the Founder Mr Franklyn Georges, the original Chair Mrs Undeen George and the former Waltham Forest Town Twinning liaison officer Mr Ken Kilbey, who were present at the time of the signing, were able to join with The Mayor Cllr Nadeem Ali in the anniversary celebrations. Also present on both occasions were the representatives of the High Commissions of Antigua & Barbuda Mrs Althea Vanderpoole Banahene and of Dominica, The High Commissioner’s secretary Miss Janet Charles. I was honoured to be given the privileged opportunity of showing a clip from my forthcoming documentary The iD Project which showcased #Dominicas delights under the title Is Dominica Boring?. For more information on what Town Twinning is and how you can get involved, visit the Town Twinning information page on the London Borough of Waltham Forest website.
