On Saturday 28/06/2014 it was finally time for the first day of Awakenings Festival in The Netherlands! Spiros Kaloumenos had the honour to show his skills to the crowd from 13:30 - 14:45 in Area Z and played his dark, pumping, forwardthinking techno that hes known for! He took the crowd on a real journey, which you can see for yourself now in this explosive live videoset, including a funny little behind-the-scenes intro! Spiros was born and raised in Piraeus, Greece. At an early age he discovered that music was more than just a hobby. He first got involved in the Greek dance media with his articles in online dance magazines, radios and later on tv shows. He has launched his own label called Omega Audio Recordings and was nominated 2 years in a row for best techno DJ in the SEEME festival awards. After this he launched his second label: Analog Mode Records. His passion to create his own sound forced him into producing and he has now released over 60 vinyls. In february 2010 Spiros launches his third label, called Focus Records. Nowadays his sound has evolved after many years of experimentation, Spiros describes his new sound as a mixture of dark, pumping, forward thinking techno.
