On Saturday, 4/26/2014, Engine 28 was dispatched out to a grass fire that was threatening nearby homes. While extinguishing the fire, the crews made 5 saves... an entire litter of kittens. Firefighters made a quick stop on the fire, saving the homes and the family of kittens. Afterwards, they made some phone calls and thanks to the great folks over at the Ocala Square Animal Clinic, the kittens are being taken care of until they are old enough to be adopted.
