On Saturday I will drive to the Jersey Shore to go to church. I can still remember the first time I heard My Name Is Mud on WAAF Boston. I was home alone, transfixed by the strangest song I had ever heard. Its been twenty years, and I still get the same enjoyment out of Pork Soda as I did when I was a wee grasshopper. Tim Alexander one of the first drummers I truly tried to emulate, and to this day continue to quote musically when I play. Krista Martin will join me, as she has many times before, and there too is a Primus connection. Driving to a marching band house party, a wet behind the ears freshman with a terrible Ford Thunderbird, discovering in each other a kindred taste in music and a lasting friendship when I tossed a Primus album into the portable CD player in my car. Im glad Tim is back in the drum throne. I hope he sticks around to record some new songs with Les and Ler. I hope no one throws anything onto the stage. I hope we get up front. I hope they play Mr. Krinkle, for my buddy Jeremy.
