On Saturday, July 20th, 2013 a Stream Monitoring Training will be held in Gloucester Township. This training offers a unique chance to get active in your community, learn about your local watershed and how you can make a difference. The training will include an indoor informative presentation followed by field work collecting biological samples following DEP Monitoring Protocol. This workshop is given by the Gloucester Township Green Team, AmeriCorps Watershed Ambassador and the New Jersey Department of Environmental Protection. Participants will be meeting at Scenic Falls by Blackwood Lake Dam at 10 am. For GPS savvy folks, this is 39.802846, -75.072807. See also the Google Map link. This event will be on a stream bank and in the stream, please dress accordingly. Weather on Saturday is expected to be hot, although attendees will be in the shade, it is recommended that you bring a water bottle.
