On Saturday Nov 15th at 1100am as we celebrated and honored Roberto Clemente on the corner of Academy and Stockton Streets in Trenton, NJ. We were supporting our friends of the S.A.G.E. Coalition “Windows of Soul” A three day Art event. Three great artists came together along with the sponsorship by Isles Inc. to create this beautiful mural that celebrates the life of an Icon of our Puerto Rican heritage. We were joined by many of the old school salsa rumberos with the Conga drums and other afro-caribbean instruments. It was incredible! Thank you Sam and to all who participated in this small yet gigantic leap back into our cultural. In order to work with others we must first understand and value ourselves. Knowing, who, where and what we come from develops or enhances pride in our people, demonstrates heritage to our youth and creates the true bridge to inclusion, equality and togetherness.
