On Saturday, November 1st the Ozark High School Junior ROTC Drill/Air Rifle Team traveled to Willard, MO to compete in the Annual Willard Navy JROTC Multi Service Drill Meet and Air Rifle Competition. There were 6 schools participating in a total of five drill events, basic and open air rifle and an athletics competition. The five drill events were Color Guard, Armed Platoon Regulation Drill, Armed Exhibition Drill, Unarmed Platoon Regulation Drill, and Unarmed Exhibition Drill. Ozark did not participate in the athletics competition. The Ozark Drill Team placed in each event as follows: Color Guard, 1st Place. Commanded by CDT/LTC Dallas Misemer. Armed Platoon Regulation, 1st Place. Commanded by CDT/MAJ Matt McCown Armed Exhibition Drill, 1st Place. Commanded by CDT/MAJ Matt McCown Unarmed Platoon Regulation, 1st Place. Commanded by CDT/LTC Dallas Misemer Unarmed Exhibition Drill, 1st Place. Commanded by CDT/CPT Lauren Crick Individual Drill, 1st Place CDT/SSG Micaiah Hauser Basic Sporter Air Rifle, 1st Place Open Sporter Rifle, 1st Place Athletics Competition, did not participate The Ozark JROTC Drill/Air Rifle Team represented the Ozark School District and the Ozark Community in a professional manner and with a winning attitude. The 40 members of the Ozark Drill Team and the eight members of the Air Rifle Team that participated have put in many long hours of practice and are to be commended for their dedication and determination to compete against other outstanding JROTC programs from all Military Services.
