On Saturday, November 8th, Veterans from the Charles George VA Medical Center attended a Recreation Therapy community outing to the 2nd Annual Veteran’s Glassblowing Day event in the River Arts District. Local Artists shared their craft, skill, passion, and knowledge of glasswork. They assisted them to create beautiful one-of-a-kind creations. Our Veterans loved this experience and were very grateful to our community artists! This glassblowing event allowed our Veterans a positive outlet for creative expression and self-accomplisment, while learning new leisure skills. This was a free event for all participating Veterans.
