On Saturday, the National Vietnam War Museum in Mineral Wells, - TopicsExpress

On Saturday, the National Vietnam War Museum in Mineral Wells, Texas, added names to their wall. I was in Normandy to mark the 70th anniversary of D-Day, so my regional director, Diane Williams, spoke in my place. She says that it was a great event. The men whose names are on the wall fought a war that many of their fellow Americans opposed. Unfortunately, those Americans who opposed the war failed to recognize the sacrifices that were being made on their behalf. It took our nation way too long to honor the men who fought in Vietnam and recognize that they are American heroes, just like the men who fought on Bunker Hill or stormed the beaches of Normandy. The Mineral Wells Index has a video of some the speeches from the event on their website. It is well worth watching mineralwellsindex/topstory/x1760094342/VIDEO-Speakers-at-the-Fifth-Annual-Update-of-the-Wall
