On September 1, 2013 this world lost a true treasure, but it was heavens gain. My darling pawpaw went to be with The Lord in heaven. He taught me so much and loved all of us grandkids so much. I cry because goodbye would have always been too soon, but I rejoice in his gain. How can I be sad when he is with Jesus happy and pain free. Still I am sad because he was my grandfather, my friend, my mentor, my childhood pal, an example of a husband, a Godly man, a hard worker, an American hero. Thank you for always being there and making these past 25 years as your grandfather so wonderful. I am so glad I could be with you and try and give back a portion of the love and care you have given to all of us. Today and tomorrow we celebrate a life well lived! I will help find a cure for cancer pawpaw. You were a champ until the end! I love you!
