On September 22nd, Freedom Ford of Claypool Hill donated a 2008 Chevrolet Suburban to the Tazewell County Sheriffs Office. This vehicle will be used to transport members of the Sheriffs Office Emergency Response Team to incidents and trainings, it also provides a platform from which to conduct other types of operations. During these times of budget constraints donations such as this provide our agency with much needed equipment at no cost to the taxpayers., stated Sheriff Brian Hieatt. Board of Supervisor John Absher said, This is a tremendous donation by a great community partner, we greatly appreciate this donation from the folks at Freedom Ford of Claypool Hill, involvement from our business leaders in our communities demonstrates the true character of our community. The men and women of the Tazewell County Sheriffs Office would like to thank the owner of Freedom Ford , Mr. Wendell Barnette, General Manager, Mr. David Coleman, and Used Car Manager, Mr. Lee Dye for their generosity.
