On September 27th, RABBL is proud to present (in association with Professional Fans & Father/Daughter Records) the Bay Areas 2nd Record Fair! The gathering--appropriately titled B.A.R.F. (Bay Area Record Fair)--will be held at Thee Parkside from noon to 5pm and will feature a plethora of Bay Area-based record labels, including 1-2-3-4 Go! Records, AEROBIC INTERNATIONAL, Polyvinyl Record Company, Moon Glyph, Fourth Row Records, Fat Wreck Chords, Empty Cellar Records, Pretty Penny Records & many more! With that said, we thought wed highlight some of our favorite labels from the looming record fair. First up, weve got Father/Daughter Records a.k.a the co-promoters of B.A.R.F. The San Francisco/Miami-based label opened their experimental doors way back in 2009 and have been electrifying the ears of indie music enthusiasts--far and wide--ever since! Peruse their ever-expanding discography--which includes releases from the likes of Sharpless, Leapling, Pure Bathing Culture, tooth ache., Mutual Benefit & Levek--here: fatherdaughterrecords.bandcamp/ Father/Daughter are two folks, bound by blood but years apart. Based in Miami and San Francisco respectively, the love of music brings this long distance family just that much closer. We are passionate about the artists and releases we are so lucky to have been involved with and are always on the hunt for bands who share our enthusiasm and love for vinyl. The free (yes, free!!!) all ages event will also feature live music and DJ sets. We hope to see you there!
