On Sunday 12 I finally made it to Googong Dam. Last week I got lost by taking a wrong turn. After riding to Fyswick to replace my broken pump at Pushys. I started riding to Quenbeyan and onto the Dam. There were a few good climbs coming out of the dam. And great country side I was also helped by a head wind to make it very challenging as riding down the Monaro Hwy. I copped three magpie attacks during the ride but not fazed anymore. Just kept riding,faster. By the way got a puncture for a change but the new pump worked well. At the cafe a phenomum occurred there were three Pinarellos in a row. So the other riders and I had a good chat. Very rare occasion to see that. Got home about 4pm the Garmin clicked over 85 ks. I showered and collapsed on the bed very satisfied and slightly sunburnt.
