On Sunday, December 21, 2014 at approximately 11a.m., four family members were hiking Seven Falls when one member slipped and fell. The family called 911 after they learned the 67-year-old man who fell, was in pain and could not bear weight on his legs. The Southern Arizona Search and Rescue Association was started along with the Sheriffs Department rescue helicopter, Sheriff One. The patient was hoisted out and transported to a landing zone where an ambulance was waiting. The patient was then ground transported to a local hospital in stable condition.
