On Sunday I will be attending the Gift of Life donor remembrance ceremony in honor of our Angel Brittany Lloyd. I am so proud of her for making the decision to do this I will have the privilege of accepting her Donor medal and I will get to pin a square on the Threads of Love Memorial Quilt. This is not a cause that I really push because it is everyones personal decision, but I do want to just put the spark of thinking about it in your mind. It was very peaceful to me because Brittany had made this decision herself and we had spoke about it just the week before. I knew when I was signing her donation papers I was simply carrying out her wishes. In my emotional state at that time if it would of have been just my decision I think I would of done the same thing, but I am not positive I would of been able to. As we have learned things do not always go as planned and sometimes our loved ones are faced with having to make hard decisions. It is a good thing to have this conversation or to go ahead and check that box on your drivers license renewal. Or to simply say no way! To start this off I just had a conversation with Tanner. He did not give me an answer yet, but he is thinking about it. With Brit I know for certain that if she would of lost a kidney and lived another 50 years it would of not changed who she was. You cannot donate your soul or your essence. This is your decision, I just encourage you to make one and share it with the ones who could HAVE to make decisions for you.
