On Sunday, July 27, 10 AM, Kevin Brien will lead a discussion entitled, “Confucianism” for the Unitarian Universalists of the Chester River, 914 Gateway Dr., Chestertown. This talk will focus on the thought of Mencius (372 - 289 BCE), the second most important Confucian after Confucius himself. We will begin with a focus on his famous stance that “human nature is good,” and will try to make clear what Mencius means when he says this, and why he says this. During our Summer Session religious education for youngsters as well as toddler and childcare will not be available, but will resume in September. Please call 410-778-3440 for more information.
