On Sunday, March 30 2014, a demonstration and meeting are planned against the brutal armed aggression by Russia and her annexation of Ukrainian territory. Representatives from many national communities in Montreal have expressed their support for Ukraine. Also invited are Montreal Mayor Denis Coderre and political representatives. Assembly and start point: Place Norman-Bethune, at metro Guy-Concordia, 1 PM. Route of the demonstration: east along Ste-Catherine to Place-des-Arts. Start of of the assembly at Place-des-Arts: at 2 : 30 PM. Please bring your national flags. We urge you to come to the demonstration and the assembly! TOGETHER we will overcome! Montreal Committee in support of Ukraine The ongoing invasion by the armed forces of the Russian Federation has provoked a humanitarian catastrophe in Ukraine. Refugees from the occupied territories are flooding out, seeking shelter. Ukraine has become the next victim of the Kremlin. The next, but not the last; unless, TOGETHER, we stop the aggressor. The entire world stands threatened by Russian violence and the setting-up within it of a new Putinite world order. Russian expansionism by military force can be stopped by full political and economic isolation of Russia in the international arena. We act TOGETHER!
