On Sunday we participated, along with a lot of Great People, in the Steps for Life Walk in support of Families of Workplace Tragedy. This is a very important event, where money is raised to support families - in many ways - who are affected by workplace accidents. In 2014, 12 Alberta Families have been affected by tragedy so far. A total of 52 Families were affected in 2013. Between 1993 and 2012 over 18000 workers have lost their lives. In Canada, we average 900 workplace fatalities a year, which works out to 2.7 fatalities per day. We need to do more. Please work safe. Stop, Think, Act.
