On Thanksgiving, Cam and Liam forgot to zip the trampoline netting closed. As they were playing, Camden fell out. Hard.On the side of his face. I heard the screaming, it sounded like the high pitched screaming in Home Alone when Kevin puts the giant spider on the guys face. Yeah. He was scraped a bit on the cheek and it was starting to turn purple. I took him into the bathroom to clean him up. He calms down and this convo happened: Did that scare you, baby? (duh, I know) (sniffling) Uh-huh It was a high fall, huh buddy? (starts sobbing again) NO! Thats not it! Then what? (starts carefully feeling his head, all over...crying hard) I thought I cracked my skull wide open!!!!! Okay - So - More than once I have said to my child - STOP THAT! or - Are you crazy??? -or- GET DOWN! and ended it with -You are going to crack your skull wide open!! Naturally, Cam was terrified he had achieved Mommys prediction. Because he is fine, and healing well, I find it hilarious.
