On The Road Again…Da What Ta Heck Tour…Day 53. Sun run..temps 90+. Today found us, in the middle of Georgia, in the middle summer, in the middle of the day taking a self-guided walking tour of historic Milledgeville which is rich in confederate history and Greek Revival architecture. Simmering in our sneakers, we strolled by Georgia College, the Old Governor’s Mansion ( deciding not to do the tour) , the Georgia Military College and the old Baldwin County Courthouse. After an afternoon of all this southern sightseeing, we decided to soak up the atmosphere and the AC at the Amici Italian Café…a typical college town hangout where we chowed down on absolutely the most delicious shrimp fettuccini pizza. Shrimp, spinach, bacon, tomatoes, garlic, Alfredo sauce and A_L_O_T of parmesan cheese on a crispy thin crust…yeah .. heaven…Manga Bambino! Then it was back to Uncle Robbie’s house for a late home cooked chicken dinner. Geesh…I’m gonna need bigger jeans! Tomorrow…the bike stays parked and Uncle Robbie is our tour guide to more local points of interest. PS. .au revoir Pepe Le Pew…hellooooo Goldie Locks..finally!
