On The Waterfront - a real classic, and theres a reason for it. This film is about how necessary it is to do the right thing. Marlon Brando stands out from everyone else with his performance, but the whole thing is solid from the direction to the atmosphere to a well constructed script. Even for an old time-y movie it doesnt pull many punches. It has an epic conclusion, but the film feels grounded in reality and its characters feel like people with real emotions and motivations. Bottom line: A+, definitely see this movie if you havent already.
