On This Date in Delaware, November 13... 1732 John Dickinson, future governor (1781-1782) and Signer of the US Constitution, was born in Trappe, Maryland. 1839 Land was bought at West RailRoad Avenue and Adams Streets for the Prospect AME Church in Georgetown. The same spot later served as a school for African American children. 1925 What Price Glory, the World War I play by Laurence Stallings and Maxwell Anderson, was perfomed in Wilmingtons Playhouse. Prices for seats ranged from 50¢ to $2.50. 1942 Charles Leonard Caulk, Jr., Seaman 2nd Class from Wilmington, perished when his ship the USS Juneau was sunk off Guadalcanal in the Pacific.
