On Thursday 4th December, officers from North East Counter Terrorism Unit (NECTU) assisted by Wales Extremism and Counter Terrorism Unit (WECTU) executed six TACT warrants at addresses in Cardiff and Barry. Subsequently five males have been arrested under the Section 12 of the Terrorism Act 2000, creating offences in relation to the support of proscribed organisations.
