On Thursday, August 21 we welcome the very talented Toby Lightman to make her Vox Concert Series debut with guests The Sea The Sea & Betsy Tanenbaum! This evening of pop soul and folk will serve as a fundraiser to benefit New Visions Gallery with a portion of each ticket PURCHASED IN ADVANCE through voxconcertseries/newvisionsgallery being donated. Enjoy an evening of talented musicians & help support a local non-profit at the same time! Lightmans first album, Little Things, was released in 2004 on Lava/Atlantic. Her second album, Bird on a Wire was released in 2006. During her career, she has toured and performed with bands such as OAR, Rob Thomas, Jewel, Gavin DeGraw, Train, Prince, and Carbon Leaf. In late 2005, Lightman appeared on Lava Records label mates O.A.R.s Stories of a Stranger. On that album, which peaked at number 40 on the Billboard 200, Lightman sang alongside O.A.R. frontman Marc Roberge on the track The Stranger. Lightman was then featured as a VH1 You Oughta Know artist and as an MTV You Hear It First artist. She also appeared on such shows as Late Show with David Letterman, Late Night with Conan OBrien, CBSs Morning show Second Cup, ESPNs Cold Pizza, A&Es Breakfast with the Arts and various others. Doors for this event will open at 6:30p.m. with the show starting at 7:00p.m. at Wildwood Station Pavilion. General admission tickets are available in advance starting at $12 through August 19 and at the door for $20.
