On Thursday, Melanie Imani, my 8 year old performed in her summer camp talent show. She is painstakingly shy, so we werent sure what the outcome would be. She blew me away, as she sang Beyonces Halo to an audience of about 200 people. She had never sung in public, so to see her take the stage and sing it a-capella, and maaaaan....Well you parents know the feeling when you see your kid exceed even your own expectations! Because Mommy was out of town on business, I had Melanie repeat her performance once we go home, so that I could record it. So proud of baby-girl for overcoming her fears. The performance ended with a rousing applause from her peers, counselors, and of course Daddy, but what was most important was that she was so proud of herself. FB family, pray for my baby as she continues to develop her voice, and build her confidence!!! What a joy this kid is! I love you for life Mellie-Bean, and I am so proud of you! Daddy
