On Thursday, November 20th the staff at the University Hospitals Geauga Medical Center will host a holiday give-a-way by donating frozen turkeys to the Geauga Hunger Task Force. These turkeys will be offered to their employees; however knowing the immediate need in the community, many employees will donate them to the Geauga Hunger Task Force. The Geauga Hunger Task Force pantry captains are asked to visit the hospital, located at 13207 Ravenna Road in Chardon, at 3pm to pick up the turkeys. There will be a large refrigerated truck with the turkeys at their loading dock at the Southeast corner of the hospital. The turkeys are at a first come basis and the available quantity is not determined. Refrigeration arrangements are recommended for storage. These donations will allow each of the Geauga Hunger Task Force pantries to stock their freezers with the turkeys and distributed them to residents in need.
