On Thursday, November 27, 2014, at 1832 hours, police responded to a 911 call of a male shot in front of 976 Longwood Avenue, within the confines of the 41 Precinct. Upon arrival, responding officers discovered the victim, a 29-year-old male, shot in the torso and face. EMS also responded to the scene and pronounced the male DOA. There are no arrests and the investigation is ongoing. The identity of the victim is pending proper family notification. ***************Update Friday, November 28, 2014 BS*********** Upon further investigation, it was determined that the shooting occurred in front of 972 Longwood Avenue. The victim has been identified: Martinez, Anthony 29-year-old male 1690 Watson Avenue, Apt# 4H, Bronx, NY There are no arrests and the investigation is ongoing. ***************Update, Friday, November 28, 2014 [RMA 2461-14] BS****** Subsequent to an ongoing investigation, surveillance video of two males walking toward the location before the incident was retrieved. Detectives are attempting to identify the two males scene in the video so that they may be questioned in regards to the incident.
