On Thursday, September 12th, I attended the annual United Way Campaign Kick-off event at noon at the Bayfront Convention Center. During the program the Erie Community Foundation was recognized for their support of United Way. Marlene Mosco, Campaign Chair for 2013, outlined the process and structure of the campaign and Bill Jackson, United Way President, shared the results achieved thus far with the Dolly Parton Imagination Library. I chaired the United Way Campaign in 1992 and have been both a volunteer and significant contributor for years.
