Deuteronomy 14:23 (TLB) 23 Bring this tithe to eat before the Lord your God at the place he shall choose as his sanctuary; this applies to your tithes of grain, new wine, olive oil, and the firstborn of your flocks and herds. The purpose of tithing is to teach you always to put God first in your lives. Proverbs 21:20 (NLT) 20 The wise have wealth and luxury, but fools spend whatever they get. Proverbs 24:27 (NLT) 27 Do your planning and prepare your fields before building your house. If you love your neighbor, you will fulfill the requirements of God’s law. I will never abandon you.” Matthew 6:31-33 (NLT) 31 “So don’t worry about these things, saying, ‘What will we eat? What will we drink? What will we wear?’ 32 These things dominate the thoughts of unbelievers, but your heavenly Father already knows all your needs. 33 Seek the Kingdom of God above all else, and live righteously, and he will give you everything you need.
