On Tuesday Desi will go to her new home, Im not going to lie I have a huge lump in my throat and tears as I type this. She is an amazing kitten with so much love to give and it will be hard to let her go, I will miss her like crazy, but if I dont let her go I cannot help another baby in need. Fostering an animal saves a life, and what most people dont understand is Fosters do not bare the financial burden of the animal, that is almost always taken care of by the rescue. The more people are willing to foster, the more lives we can save. It absolutely kills me to know that people still think killing perfectly healthy well behaved animals because there is no more room at the shelter or not enough homes for them is OK. We call it euthanasia to try and make ourselves feel better, but euthanasia is defined as ending a life because of illness or great suffering.
