On Tuesday, October 1st, the health insurance marketplaces opened for enrollment, helping to bring access to quality, affordable health care for all Coloradoans. Here in Colorado, our state’s new online health marketplace, Connect for Health Colorado, will enable you and your family or small business to shop for, compare, and purchase health insurance that meets your needs and fit your budget. In these first few days of the marketplaces being open, we are already seeing incredible interest here in Colorado and across the nation. As of Wednesday, Connect for Health Colorado received 104,000 unique visitors, over 5,150 phone calls, with nearly 7,000 accounts opened. Nationally, healthcare.gov received 4.7 million visitors and 190,000 calls on just the first day.
