On Tuesday Shamus and I will be starting support groups at Gildas Club in Madison. Jim and I have had a lot of conversations about whether this is the right time for Shamus and decided to give it a try. We will keep him out of a certain session because its a topic that doesnt need to be addressed for our current situation. I just dont want him to feel isolated when he starts 4K next year, and know hes not the only kid with a parent with cancer. Im looking forward to joining my support group too.
