On Tuesday, the PetSmart Rescue Waggin rescued 22 pups from our Shelter bound for homes in Wisconsin and Minnesota. First on board was Fred, a big pup who wasnt quite sure why all the excitement!?! Fred was lovingly held by Tasha as he waited to get in his crate on board the Waggin; Carl lovingly helped a pup into safe arms; Rev Connell blessed each pup, the entire Van of pups from KS and OK as well as their guardian drivers. We all waved as the Waggin pulled out and left Grove, OK for new lives! It really does take a Village, a Village of caring Grand Lake residents who donate, volunteers at our Thrift Shop who work to help fund our ongoing costs, Shelter workers who worked many hours to prepare for this day, Veterinarians who check and recheck the babes, those who wash, feed and love each baby one more time and make sure they are ready to go...lots of hard work goes into saving lives and so many more behind the scenes....we are thankful for this opportunity to be a part of this wonderful charity!
